North Bengal Medical College  is situated ‘far from the madding crowd’ – set against the backdrop of mountains in the serene locale by the side of the river Balasone, about 7 km from Siliguri town proper. Here we get a breathtaking view of the mountains and on a clear day, the Kanchenjungha can be seen. The college and hospital buildings, spread over the sprawling campus of 161 acres, are connected by very long corridors which total a length of 2.6 km. The huge campus is also shared with the North Bengal Dental College and the Nursing Training School.
