Admission to the MBBS course is through the highly competitive entrance test WBJEE (medical). 15% of the seats are filled through the all India CBSE-PMT examination.
For postgraduate courses one has to clear the state or all India PG entrance.

Fees

University registration fee: Rs. 1000/-
Examination fee (before appearing in each prof. examination): Rs. 1000/-
Monthly fee: Rs. 750/-
Hostel fees: Rs. 8/- per month (Rs. 12/- per month for Senior Boys Hostel)
Miscellaneous fees like annual library fees, magazine fees, students union fees, etc.
