The Rabindra Jayanti this year was yet another occasion when the teachers and students got together in a spirit of celebration. Dr. (Prof) Saibal Gupta, HOD FSM, inaugurated the ceromony by his inroductory speech where he highlighted the relevance of Tagore in the present times.
The programme was mainly a brainchild of the 2nd year students who spent a lot of time and energy in organizing the event and participating in various cultural performances.
It was great to have the teachers among us. This occasion again reflected the unique bonding between the students and teachers in the college, not to be found anywhere else.

It is indeed wonderful feelings looking at the very preliminary website of North Bengal Medical College. I was an MBBS student of this great medical school more than 30 years back. I completed my MD from the All-India Institute of Medical Sciences in 1982 and since then settled in Winnipeg, Canada.
